SCUTELLARIA BAICALENSIS (Baikal skullcap). Blue skullcap is a perennial herb indigenous from North America. The flowers are very small and have a very distinctive pale blue color. Blue skullcap has been known in Europe and America for many of its herbal properties but certainly the most common use of Blue skullcap is for its nervous sedative effects.

Side Effects and Precautions
Attention has to be paid to the use of this herb supplements, in some cases it has been reported that those ones have been adulterated with Teucrium chamaedrys (Gemander), a known hepatotoxic agent [3]. See disclaimer below.
