ALOE VERA

Aloe veraname derives from the Arabic word “Alloeh” meaning “shining bitter substance,” while “vera” in Latin means “true”. About 2000 years ago, Greek scientists regarded Aloe vera as the universal panacea that could heal almost every ailment and illness. The Egyptians called Aloe “the plant of immortality” for obvious reasons. Today, the Aloe vera plant has been used for various purposes, among which we can mention dermatology, health, beauty, medicinal and skin care among many others [22].

Chervil seeds can be kept for up to  three years and still keep their germinability, but in most cases before this time elapses the seeds will loose their germinability. The cultivation of chervil is very similar to that one of parsley.

 

FOENICULUM VULGARE (Fennel)

Fennel is a perennial herb with bright yellow flowers and fluffy foliage, that being indigenous to the Mediterranean [1] has nowadays been extended to other parts of the world and can be easily found in other continents. Its flavour is similar to that of anise and licorice [2].
