Borage (Borago officinalis). Borage is a common, enduring, annual herb of the Boraginaceæ family. Its seems that its name, derived from a mix of cor, the heart, and ago, to affect, because of its former use as a cordial or heart-fortifying medicine. Courage is from the same source. The Standard Dictionary, however, points to burrago, rough, and relates it indirectly by cross references to birrus, a thick, coarse woolen cloth worn by the poor during the thirteenth century.

Bostwellia serrata has been traditionally used in ayurvedic medicine to treat inflammatory problems. This has been its main use since this herb was found to be rich in Boswellic acids, an active component found in Boswellia serrata that helps on the treatment of inflammatory conditions.

Boswellic acids are Triterpenes, organic acids found mainly in the resin produced by plants in the genus Boswellia, as Boswellia serrata, and can be up to 30% of the total active constituents found in that resin. They were used in Ayurvedic medicine as part of many other traditional herbal remedies.

BUDDLEJA SALIGNA (Loganiaceae). Is a small evergreen tree which fruits, assemble to the Mediterranean olives that produced the olive oil, were used  to lower blood pressure. The bark and leafs of this plant have also been used to treat coughs, colds and sore eyes as well as purgatives.
